Excursion to the "PLANET OCEAN" Exhibition
On Wednesday, October 30th, we embarked on an inspiring excursion to the “PLANET OCEAN” exhibition at the Gasometer Oberhausen with students from the "Digital Nature" and "Mixed Reality Art" courses. This visit presented a valuable opportunity to elevate the goals and content of both courses in a practical setting. The aim of this excursion was not only to provide students with insights into the fascinating world of the oceans but also to encourage them to draw inspiration from the natural phenomena and artistic presentations for their own projects.

Public Brewing
Public Brewing is an interactive media facade for the entertaining, informative and at the same time technically correct explanation of the brewing process of old beer. In 2014 the project was developed to the football world championship in cooperation with the house brewery of 'Uerige' and performed during 3 weeks with the facade of the house brewery in the Old Town of Dusseldorf.

AR Sound Sandbox
In this project we introduce a novel interface combining spatial and tangible interaction for creating audio-visual effects in a natural and engaging way. We demonstrate the setup by an artistic installation for creating ambient sound scapes that are controlled by a Lattice Boltzmann based particle simulation running through a deformable landscape.

AR Sound Sandbox: A playful interface for musical and artistic expression
In this paper we introduce a novel interface combining spatial and continuous tangible interaction for creating and manipulating audio-visual effects. Our goal is to provide a ready-to-use, “hands-on” interface that does not need protracted explanation to the user, yet provides possibilities for expression.
