The first step always consists of an idea and the decision about which way is most suitable for realizing it. Against this background, it is most important that the complement to the exhibition always offers an added value. In most cases, reality and virtuality are intertwined so that the visitors use all their senses and can, for example, touch something in addition to having a visual experience.

Possible implementations include an AR application that displays additional information or the integration of VR, for example in the form of some kind of periscope. Moreover, the modern technologies lead to further possibilities through movement and exhibits can even be individually customized for the visitors.
