As a final piece to a series of workshops for interested students from the design and media faculties, MIREVI ended the semester with an introduction to projection mapping. After a short presentation on what projection mapping is and how it works, students were shown digital and real-life examples.

Presentation of projection on two- and threedimensional surfaces as well as different materials.

In a second step, the students were invited to a hand-on session to really deepen their knowledge. In small teams, cuboids were mapped and projected with existing and new examples using Resolume Arena.

A properly mapped object is an invitation to create something new on the spot. This group explored combining projection mapping with TouchDesigner.
