Debuting in June 2024, the piece Precious Camouflage is presented by Charlotte Triebus and her ensemble “New Human Body Society” at the Tanzhaus NRW in Düsseldorf. Besides the dancers Annalise Van Even, Esther Siddiquie, Yurika Sophie Yamamoto, and Misha Osthenrath, several AI models become independent agents in this performance: While they perceive the show through a camera, they process, decide, and act in real-time, making every showing unique.

During the Performance, by Patrick Essex

Through Dance, Precious Camouflage examines the nature of intelligence by exploring the interpretation of language between natural and artificial agents. This communication targets questions of body, art, action and interaction between human and system. As AI systems produce increasingly more realistic images, the relationship between both groups grows complex. Finally, the main question remains: Who controls, moves, and influences whom?

Precious Camouflage was produced under the Artistic Direction of Charlotte Triebus, with close scientific support and implementation by MIREVI.
