The “Smart Energy Hub Düsseldorf-Mettmann” is a presentation and cooperation platform of the ZIES and MIREVI research groups at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the Düsseldorf Innovation and Technology Centre with the goal to to network players from science and industry in the field of the energy transition. The ‘Fast Energy Design Tool’ (FED Tool) plays a central role in this. It facilitates the planning of complex energy supply systems in industry and municipalities by automatically calculating economically and ecologically optimal solutions. The workshop provides companies in the energy industry and municipal utilities the opportunity to jointly define innovative requirements for optimised energy systems and to initiate new co-operations.
