The thirteenth edition of the Expanded Conference took place from September 3rd to 5th as part of the Ars Electronica Festival 2025 in Linz, Austria.

Charlotte Triebus, artist, choreographer and artistic scientific researcher at MIREVI, presented her piece Precious Camouflage in Linz, Austria. Her presentation Precious Camouflage: Artistic Research for the Creation of a Dance Piece with Humans and AI focuses on the layout of and research behind the piece, which explores the interplay between human and artificial actors. As the work uses four AI systems that interact with the dance ensemble in real time, the presentation shows the communicative set-up before diving deeper into the extensive research on ethical questions concerning surveillance, interpretation, and bodies in datasets.

The Expanded Conference has shared the session footage via Lifestream, with Triebus’ presentation starting at 59:48. Background materials and the recorded performance are available here.
